I was excited to receive this present for Christmas 2008, it is now May 2009, less than 5 months later and neither of the two finders work. The red finder stopped working the first month, I went to Brookstone to exchange it and they said I needed a receipt, even though it’s obviously from Brookstone, with their name on the front of the product. (I didn’t have a receipt because it was a present from my brother who lives across the country) My husband exchanged the batteries and the green worked for a month, but then it just fell apart, literally. Please buy a different brand, this one is worthless.

Wireless Key Finder
I purchased a Brookstone key locator. The batteries were difficult to install into the key attachments. When installed, the batteries would frequently fall out. In a matter of weeks, the attachment just fell apart. Good idea but clearly a substandard product.

I got this product for a Christmas present in 2008 and like another reviewer, only one of the two keychain batteries worked. It was returned to a Brookstone store.

Horrible. It arrived and only one key battery worked.
It is not very loud at all. If the key should fall into a couch, you will never hear it or find it.
The quality does not match the expense.
